Founded in 2024 by Joni Podmanik, a registered dental hygienist since 2008. After becoming a licensed health professional, it only seemed proper to create a custom license plate to proudly honor her passion for the profession.
Rewinding to childhood, Joni recalls many times spent in the car with her grandparents; suddenly Grandma would blurt out a saying. Soon she realized, Grandma was making up names, statements, landmarks, sayings, you name it, with just three to six simple letters in no particular order based on a random license plate at a stop light. Fast forward to today, it’s become a game amongst family and friends, making note and calling out of any custom license plates.
Realizing that the dental profession does not really have any fun “outside of work” apparel, Joni decided to marry her love for dentistry/dental hygiene with cherished childhood memories. PLAQH8R was finally born and made a reality.
Soon, PLAQH8R strives to be more than just a t-shirt company. Short-term goals of partnerships, humanitarian outreach, and continuing to serve the underserved remain on the horizon. Stay tuned as PLAQH8R has endeavors in place to grow beyond a brand!
